SYNOPSIS: A life-changing
truth has turned Bok-shil into a Cinderella overnight. She
moved to the city to be with her real family who thought she
died in a fire accident years ago. Although she tried changing
her ways to fit in to a different society, it is her ignorance
and sweetness that captured Sueng-hee's heart. But due to
a tragic past, her parents opposed their relationship.
Hee-soo, Bok-shil's sister, used to date Seung-hee when she
was in Australia. But when Hee-soo died due to a car accident,
he took the blame.
Loving Bok-shil is more than a handful. Not only does Seung-hee
needs to convince her family, but also have to find the heart
to forget his past love eventhough Bok-shil is the constant
reminder of his pain.
REVIEWS:
KOREANCRAZEE This is
the biggest disappointment in the history of my Korean addiction.
When I heard that Kim Rae-won and Jeong Ryeo-won would be
starring in this series, I thought it would be an interesting
pair up. It started okay and eventually became more exciting
somewhere between the 4th and 7th episodes. I think it is
kind of odd though. Usually, series tend to lay low or drags
down in the mid part to make a huge impact at the end. But
this one is different. As it nears the last part, the more
it became helplessly boring and sad to say, it never recovered.
I just finished the series just for the sake of saying I've
watched it.
Too bad, it changed my mind on their performances. They weren't
given a chance to really show how great their acting is. Even
the chemistry on-screen couldn't save the series. No excitement
and very predictable. From time to time, there are dramatic
scenes but it wasn't that touching. Even the supporting actors
are not that good too. The "bad guys" doesn't even
have personalities and no angle in the story. Ryeo-won wasn't
at her best. She is freaking annoying. She overdoes it and
a lot of times, she acts like she is mentally challenged instead
of being childish and ignorant. And what's with the pigtails?
It's a typical against all odds love story. It is so redundant
with the "I Love You but we have to separate ways
but we have to fight for it because I Love You". On the
later part, there were so many flashbacks even if they were
just barely shown.
But in fairness, there are cute and funny scenes especially
when they tease each other. But aside from those, there is
nothing I liked in the series. Maybe I expected too much from
it. But who wouldn't if its Rae-won, who's been well known
for his versatility, and Ryeo-won, for her Sam-soon days.
HEE-UN I am officially
impressed with Jun Ryeo-won's acting. I wasn't too fond of
her in Sam Soon, but I liked her in this. Her crying is annoying,
but the rest of her acting is good. This drama was really
touching to me. It wasn't the best drama I have ever seen,
nor the most touching, but for some reason I was really moved
by it. Kim Rae-Won also did a good job I thought. He over
acted a bit, but other than that, he was pretty darn good.
I really liked the ending of this one too. The really simple
scene with both Seung Hui and Bok-Sil sitting in the soccer
field together, telling each other 'I love you.' It was simple,
yet very touching. The perfect ending for this drama I think.
