MR. GOODBYE
Miseuteo Gutbai

SYNOPSIS: Hyun-seo had a cardiac bypass and his condition has worsened. Now that he finally found happiness with Young-in and became more successful as a Hotel Director, he is having a harder time dealing with it. He can't seem to enjoy life and even decided to step back with his love affairs. He tries to cover up his pain and pretend that there is nothing wrong so people won't pity him. But when he found out a mystery of his past, he became more unwilling to give up on life easily.

REVIEWS: Usually, the main characters are the reasons why you initially enjoy watching a series. But in this case, none of them has ever made it look interesting. All the characters have no personality. They are just plain boring. From time to time, I get to enjoy Bo-yeong's because she talks too much, nonstop. She is good when she does that but the others are not so impressive. Even Jae-wook, who I admired in Garden of Heaven, was not at his best. The slow pace makes it even worst.

The first two episodes were okay and interesting. I even thought it's going be a good romantic comedy but boy, was I wrong. Even the side story was dry. There is no impact to the story. Basically, the main concern is all about Hyun-seo's health condition.

As always, Korean series are fond of putting flashbacks. When the characters stares at nothing, expect a recap.

The latter part is kind of touching. I liked the last episode. Very dramatic. The last statements are moving but I didn't like the "ending". They could have done it better. I was like, that's it? I am still looking forward for a comeback but I guess that's the best it could get. They left me hanging for nothing.
