SYNOPSIS: Merry is an
aspiring theatre actress but fate doesn't seem to agree. She's
been turned down left and right but her perseverance kept
her hanging on. She believes that her luck hasn't come yet.
Same goes with Dae-gu who writes unsuccessful martial arts
books. He depends on his instinct and optimism eventhough
people doesn't believe in his talent. Dae-gu and Merry had
a few too many unpleasant meetings. One thinks the other is
crazy while she sees him as a jinx. They fight at anything
to everything - from a coupon to a job - seems like there's
no hope for a truce.
Merry's first love turned out to be Dae-gu's best buddy.
Since Dae-gu can't stand being together with Merry, he keeps
them apart but eventually starts to fall for her. He would
rather lose friendship than his inspiration so tried to surpass
the success Do-jin has achieved to get Merry's attention.
He got a job as a driver and bodyguard to So-ran who has feelings
for him. But, what he doesn't know, So-ran's father was the
cause of his father's alleged death.
REVIEWS: From Over the
Rainbow to Fly High, I didn't expect Hyeon-woo to be starring
in a slapstick - overacting comedy (annoying at first but
got used to it). And with his fro, I thought I'll lost respect
on him. I guess I was wrong. Looks could be deceiving. Who
could have thought that I'll like him more in this series?
It's kind of weird to see him do antics but he could definitely
pull it through. When he shags that big hair, I can't stop
smiling. And putting the crazy Lee Ha-na opposite his character
makes it more hilarious. Those pigtails compliment his fro.
When they are together, scenes become much funnier. I like
Merry's daydreams and Dae-gu's ideas on his story for his
next book.
Min-woo's and Wang Bit-na's characters are cute too. Do-jin's
seriousness and sensitivity creates a strong love triangle
while So-ran's gnorance and vanity completes the craziness.
FYI, I didn't recognize Wang Bit-na. She was totally different
from her character as Hwang Jin-I's rival.
